Jessy Mendiola has had enough of bashers insinuating that she wasn’t really invited to the destination wedding of Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff in New Zealand last weekend. According to a PUSH report, the actress asked her critics to refrain from coming up with issues and should just wish the newlyweds well.
On Instagram, Jessy took a swipe at her rabid critics and wrote, “Sa lahat ng mga tao na makikitid ang utak na namomoblema kung sinong invited o hindi, hindi naman siguro ako pupunta sa kasal na hindi ako invited.”
She continued, “I just think that’s crazy ???? can we just all be happy for the lovely couple who are about to get married?”
“Good vibes lang po sana, doesn’t matter kung sino sino ang magkikita kita, the important thing is we are ready to put aside our issues for such a wonderful event,” she wrote in the comment thread of beau Luis’s Instagram photo.
Her comment also seemed to address the issue of her unavoidable meeting with Luis’s ex, Angel Locsin. Back in 2016, the two actresses reportedly exchanged shady comments on social media amidst speculations of overlapping relationship with the actor-TV host.
Jessy also clapped back against a cheap shot at her career, as the netizen said that Luis should just marry her to save her from constant bashing.
She wrote, “I may not have a superstar status but I do have dreams on my own. Who are you to say that I don’t have a career on my own? I am working on it, after all…I’m only 24. Marriage is not something you just do for the sake of pleasing other people, not to save anyone from bashing. It’s a special union that binds two people in love. Everything happens at the right time and with the right reasons.”
“Maybe you need to get your values checked,” she added.
Showbiz website Fashion Pulis was also able to screenshot Jessy’s post on spreading positive vibes amidst backlash and criticism. The actress-model also thanked her fans for continuing to support her.
